ELDRED TOWNSHIP, Penn. (WJAC) - A Brookville woman is facing child pornography and sexual assault charges in an investigation that started in Texas.
Christine Nichols, 29, has been charged with multiple felonies, including rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, deviate sexual intercourse involving a child and several child pornography charges.
According to police, they responded to the Brookville home after the Internet Child Crimes Against Children Task Force alerted Pennsylvania authorities about an arrest in Texas for child pornography and that the origin of the video came from a Jefferson County home.
Several law enforcement agencies and CYS responded to the home Saturday and took custody of a 3-year-old and 1-year-old. According to police, they tracked down and arrested Nichols at a location in Marienville.
Nichols bail was set at $100,000 straight and she remains in the Jefferson County Jail.
