Wanted woman arrested for drug possession at Blair Co. motel

BLAIR CO, Pa (WJAC) Logan Township police say a wanted Altoona woman is behind bars after she was found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia at a Blair County motel. Police say on Sept. 26, officers were dispatched to the Cedar Grove Motel after receiving information about a wanted individual staying there.

Police say on Sept. 26, officers were dispatched to the Cedar Grove Motel after receiving information about a wanted individual staying there.

Police identified the wanted individual as 32-year-old Brittany Gardner, who initially provided police with her sister's name.

Gardner was wanted for probation violations, police add, and officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view when they arrived at the motel.

Police say a search of Gardner's belongings led officers to the discovery of two bundles of heroin, a bag of methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia in her purse.

Police add that they also discovered another bag of methamphetamine and a digital scale in the motel room.

Gardner was arrested and transported to Blair County Prison, authorities say.

She faces 2 counts of possession with the intent to deliver, 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and is charged for providing false identification to law enforcement, according to court documents.
