Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — UPMC Somerset officially opened its new family practice in Davidsville on Thursday.
The grand opening included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an open house.
The planning for the facility started in March of 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic.
Now that the family practice is open, officials say it will provide rural communities with more access to healthcare.
“It’s important for patients to have a relationship with a primary care provider to maintain good quality health. This is just one more way that UPMC Somerset shows their commitment to the communities they serve,” says Andy Rush, President of UPMC Somerset.
In addition to the new office, UPMC Somerset family practice recently expanded to a second location in Laurel View Village.
