UPJ mourns passing of former standout wrestler Leo Feist

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is mourning the loss of one of its former standout athletes. Leo Feist, a former NCAA regional champion, passed away last Sunday at the age of 60.

Leo Feist, a former NCAA regional champion, passed away last Sunday at the age of 60.

Feist, a Cambria County native, graduated from Conemaugh Valley High School and went on to become a four-year starter at UPJ.

Feist was a member of the Mountain Cats' 1982 Regional Championship team.

He finished his collegiate career with a record of 87-34-1.

According to his obituary, a viewing service will be held Saturday, May 11th, at Hindman Funeral Homes, from 1 to 3 p.m., with a memorial service to follow.
