LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. A vehicle accident in Lackawanna County left one teen dead and another injured the morning of June 10, state police say. According to a press release, Ayden Beckage, 18, was traveling north on State Route 307 with a 17-year-old male passenger when he lost control of his vehicle.

According to a press release, Ayden Beckage, 18, was traveling north on State Route 307 with a 17-year-old male passenger when he lost control of his vehicle.

State police say Beckage's vehicle then traveled across both southbound lanes of travel and shoulder before going down an embankment.

The press release states that the 17-year-old passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.

According to state police, the 17-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police also said Beckage was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

According to the press release, Beckage was interviewed at the hospital and subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI.
