State police ID man killed after head-on crash involving dump truck in Huntingdon County

HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Huntingdon County. It happened on Route 453 in Warriors Mark Township around 7 a.m. State police say a Chevy Trail Blazer was traveling south when the driver, William Brown, lost control around a turn.

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Huntingdon County.

It happened on Route 453 in Warriors Mark Township around 7 a.m.

State police say a Chevy Trail Blazer was traveling south when the driver, William Brown, lost control around a turn.

They say Brown's vehicle entered the opposite lane and crashed head on into a dump truck hauling 23 tons of stone.

Both vehicles suffered major burn and impact damage.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the investigation remains open.

911 officials say the Huntingdon County coroner has been called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash near the Blair and Huntingdon county line.

According to dispatchers, the crash occurred just before 7 a.m. along Route 453, otherwise known as Birmingham Pike, just south of Grier School Road.

No further details have been released at this time but official say the roadway is closed.
