This week, Sandy Township supervisors officially “discontinued" their lawsuit against the city of DuBois.

The lawsuit was filed last June to pause the consolidation process with DuBois in the wake of criminal charges being filed against their then city manager Herm Suplizio.

Sandy Township then began raising concerns about the city's financial situation, noting that once the consolidation is finalized, both municipalities would "assume all debts, liabilities and duties of each individual municipality."

Sandy Township manager Shawn Arbaugh confirmed that the lawsuit has been “discontinued without prejudice,” meaning it can be refiled if they choose to.
