The Punxsutawney Memorial Library is experiencing staffing shortages and the cancellation of library programs.
Library Director Jennifer Soliday says it's almost impossible to cover everything that goes on in the library even though they just hired someone to be in charge of the children's program and learn the reference desk.
The community, however, is understanding the staff shortage issues.
"They understand the need for this. Of course, you know they're sad that there isn't anything here after Friday or after 5 or on the weekends. But they understand that everyone is going through staff shortages right now," said Soliday.
Soliday says the problem is not unique to the library as many other businesses have had to change their hours because of staff shortages.
