PSP investigating attempted homicide in Delaware County

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a man fired a gun into another vehicle on I-476 Friday afternoon, a press release states. According to state police, just after 12:30 p.m., they received a report of a shooting that occurred on the interstate in Radnor Township, Delaware County.

According to state police, just after 12:30 p.m., they received a report of a shooting that occurred on the interstate in Radnor Township, Delaware County.

The press release states that troopers arrived on scene to find a blue Honda Civic that had crashed into another vehicle disabled on a hill on the right shoulder, with the operator, only identified at this time as a 62-year-old male, being treated for injuries.

State police said that criminal investigators arrived on scene and located a 41-year-old male and his 8-year-old son at the scene.

According to a press release, an investigation revealed that the driver of the Honda Civic fired multiple gunshots at the 41-year-old's vehicle as they drove on I-476.

State police said the vehicles then crashed into each other, causing the Honda Civic to become disabled on the berm.

The press release states that the 41-year-old and the 8-year-old were not injured in the crash and the driver of the Honda Civic was taken to Paoli Hospital for minor injuries.

According to state police, the incident is still under active investigation.
