BREEZEWOOD, Pa. - The Gateway Travel Plaza in Breezewood just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike is in the process of a major renovations. Gateway Vice President John Bittner said the project, which is underway, is adding a new food court, additional restrooms, expansion of the Radio Shack, a new arcade and an elevator.
Bittner said the food court will replace the sit down Gateway restaurant and will now feature a Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Arby's, Jimmy John's and a Gateway Homestyle Express that will feature the same item menus as the old restaurant, but in a take-out setting.

ELDRED TOWNSHIP, Penn. (WJAC) - A Brookville woman is facing child pornography and sexual assault charges in an investigation that started in Texas.
Christine Nichols, 29, has been charged with multiple felonies, including rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, deviate sexual intercourse involving a child and several child pornography charges.
According to police, they responded to the Brookville home after the Internet Child Crimes Against Children Task Force alerted Pennsylvania authorities about an arrest in Texas for child pornography and that the origin of the video came from a Jefferson County home.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Cambria County commissioners approved applications for several grants Thursday morning, including one they say will help with some much-needed repairs for the roof of the Cambria County Courthouse.
During their meeting Thursday morning, commissioners approved applications for three grants.
The first is $579,420 for the county's library system and its community hub project.
The second: $250,000 for Nulton Diagnostics and its medical autonomous care research and development program.
