Much of the younger population maybe at risk of hearing loss.
That’s according to the results of a study done within the University of Michigan -- by the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on children’s health.
The study adds that the main factor of this hearing loss issue within younger populations comes from earbuds -- like the popular air pods and other headphones.
The study also shows that 64 percent of parents reported their child uses some type of earbud or headphone and 74 percent believe it is fine — as the volume is not too high.
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — Three Clearfield men are facing assault-related charges after injuring and choking a 63-year-old man at a Uni-mart Saturday, police said.
According to Lawrence Township Police, 37-year-old George Irwin, 44-year-old Jason Peters and 46-year-old Jeffrey Peters assaulted the man at the Hyde Uni-Mart after an unprovoked altercation involving a previous civil manner.
Police say the three men fled after assaulting the man, but charges have since been filed.
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — On Wednesday, authorities announced charges against a Lackawanna County man accused of shooting Scranton Police Detective Kyle Gilmartin as he sat in a car while on duty.
“Today our department and the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office are announcing the arrest of Aiden Deininger, a 20-year-old male from Old Forge Pennsylvania,” says PSP Commander, Maj. Michael T. Carroll. The news comes after the arrest of 19-year-old Jeremiah Cleveland who allegedly is responsible for firing shots in the Hill section of the city on the 10th and 11th.
Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — There is another update in the ongoing dispute between PennDOT and one of the state's largest construction contractors, who is based in Centre County.
Despite a state supreme court ruling just a few months ago, the dispute is still alive in court.
It’s been almost three years since then Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced criminal charges against Glenn O Hawbaker Inc.
The Centre County based contractor was charged in a wage theft case.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sean "Diddy" Combs admitted that he beat his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway in 2016 after CNN released video of the attack, saying in a video apology he was "truly sorry" and his actions were "inexcusable."
"I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now," the music mogul said in a video statement posted Sunday to Instagram and Facebook.
