Area Domino's hosts fundraiser for all-volunteer fire department in Blair County

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Domino's Pizza in Snyder Township partnered with the Neptune Fire Company on Wednesday as the restaurant donated a percentage of its sales to the all-volunteer fire company. The department says it is in need of funding to help pay for the replacement of their aging boiler, and for renovations to their truck room. In addition, the fire company had to recently spend over $15,000 to help pay for repairs and routine maintenance for their two engines.

(AP) — Prosecutors say they've made progress in the unsolved 1975 stabbing death of a 19-year-old Pennsylvania woman and are going public with new composite images and fresh details about a possible suspect in hopes the public can help. The Lancaster County district attorney provided new information Thursday about the investigation into Lindy Sue Biechler's killing inside her suburban Lancaster apartment. District Attorney Craig Stedman says a man who left DNA at the scene is likely fair-skilled, very likely has hazel colored eyes, and probably has dark hair and no freckles.

Fire crews battle small roof fire on North Allegheny Street in Bellefonte

No injuries were reported. Inmate at SCI Houtzdale pleads guilty to killing cellmate; faces decades behind bars

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say an inmate at SCI Houtzdale has pleaded guilty to killing his cellmate last summer. District attorney Ryan Sayers says Derek Bullard entered a plea to third degree murder in the death of 79-year-old Roberto Quevada. Investigators charged Bullard in August after police say he admitted to strangling Quevada and then wrapping his body up in a blanket and leaving him in his bunk.
