SAXTON - The Saxton Volunteer Fire Company in Bedford County is mourning the loss of a crew member after they responded to a call involving one of their own.
A new release from the department said Jerri Carson died in a car crash on Monday.
The release said Company 35 responded to a call when a single car had rolled over on State Route 26 near Cherrywood around 9:45 p.m.

In our region, there are dozens of volunteer drivers to help veterans make their appointments, but the VA is looking for more people who are willing to give back.
The VA has about 300 volunteers working in different areas.

Dallas, TX (CNN via WFAA) — Authorities say a truck driver was killed when a tractor-trailer drove off an overpass outside of Dallas Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators say the truck landed on a service road below and burst into flames, and the whole incident was caught on video.
