Nittany Lion Shrine and other buildings vandalized overnight

Penn State announced Sunday that the Nittany Lion Shrine had been vandalized overnight. According to the university, vandals broke an ear and splashed red paint on the shrine in addition to graffitiing on Old Main and the Hintz Family Alumni Center in red paint. The Lion Shrine is an iconic spot for graduates and families who want to take pictures to remember the momentous weekend. On Sunday, though, it was closed behind security fencing.

Off-duty officer charged for shooting other man during altercation at DuBois business

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Clearfield County say an off-duty police officer is behind bars after he shot another man during an altercation with the owner of a DuBois business over the weekend. Police say officers were dispatched to "Invictus," located along DuBois Street, early Sunday morning for a report of a shooting. "Invictus" is described as a multi-recreational establishment that offers axe-throwing and virtual reality gaming, among other activities.

Zelenskyy secures $1 billion from Belgium and military commitments during EU tour

BRUSSELS (AP) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday picked up a second $1 billion promise of military aid in as many days for his war with Russia during a whirlwind tour through the European Union. The pledge came from Belgium, which topped up the money with a commitment to give 30 F-16 fighter jets over the next four years. The Netherlands added to the goodwill by promising to quickly assemble with key EU partners a Patriot air defense system, which Zelenskyy sees as key in stopping Russia from hitting the power grid and civilian areas, as well as military targets, with devastating glide bombs that wreak wide destruction.

Blair Co. janitor charged for possessing child porn; leaving candy, gifts for student

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Blair County District Attorney's office say a Claysburg man is behind bars following a "multi-department" child pornography investigation. Investigators say 30-year-old Ethan Colpetzer, who was employed as a janitor at the Claysburg Elementary School, is accused of having dozens of photos, depicting child pornography, on his phone. Police say authorities first began investigating Colpetzer after an 11-year-old student reported that a "secret admirer"
