Student's head grazed by bullet after exchange of gunfire outside DC school: Police

WASHINGTON (WJLA) — A 17-year-old student is injured after an exchange of gunfire between two groups outside Dunbar High School in northwest D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department. MPD officers responded to the sounds of gunshots that occurred outside the school on N Street, NW just before 10 a.m. Officers found the girl had been grazed by a bullet that entered the school through the glass windows of a classroom, according to their preliminary investigation.

Bishop McCort falls to Neumann-Goretti in Class AA baseball championship

UNIVERSITY PARK – A rematch of last year’s PIAA Class AA baseball championship did not yield a different result for the Bishop McCort Crushers, as they dropped a 7-4 decision to Neumann-Goretti Friday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Neumann-Goretti beat Bishop McCort 3-0 in the title game last year. The Saints finish the year with a 23-4 record on the way to back-to-back titles. The Crushers, who finish the season with a 19-8 record, fell behind 5-0 in the first inning and were never able to recover.
