Restaurant owners, lawmakers to take action against Gov. Wolf's executive order

Roaring Spring police search for Ford Mustang stolen from McDonald's

ROARING SPRING, Pa. (WJAC) — The Roaring Spring Police say they’re looking for the person responsible for stealing a Ford Mustang from McDonald’s Sunday morning. According to the police department’s Facebook page, the Mustang is a white 1979 Coupe with chrome wheels and a black hood. Police say the word’s “Mechanically Unstable” are displayed on the windshield, and the car’s registration is KRH6348. The car was stolen from the McDonald’s located at 908 E.

Employees angry over Coney Island Lunch closure, locals looking at future of downtown

JOHNSTOWN -- The iconic Coney Island Lunch restaurant in Johnstown is closed for good. And employees and the community are still in shock. Coney Island has been around for 101 years. It's a destination for out of towners and a staple for locals. But employees say they were blindsided by the news, going to bed with a job and waking up Sunday morning without one. The signs went up early Sunday morning telling customers and employees the restaurant was closed for good.

Man breaks into No. 9 Coal Mine, authorities remove him successfully

LANSFORD,CARBON COUNTY(WOLF) — Authorities in Lansford were called to No.9 Coal Mine earlier this morning. A man broke into the mine and refused to come out, stating he was armed. Officials tell us the man spent more than 12 hours in the coal tourist attraction. Authorities tell FOX56 the suspect David Eisenhauer from Carbon County broke into the coal mine around 4am Thursday Morning. Workers noticed signs of a break-in, and smoke coming from the mine.

More Nissan Versas added to Takata air bag recall

A handful of 2007-2008 Nissan Versa subcompacts have been added to the growing list of vehicles fitted with faulty Takata air bag inflators. Nissan last month said that it had identified 233 Versa sedan and hatchback models with passenger-side air bag components that could explode. The cars were inadvertently not included in an earlier recall of the 2007-2011 Versa, meaning their owners were not contacted with instructions on how to have the air bag inflators replaced for free.
