Man charged after missing woman's body found in refrigerator

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (WJAC) — Allegheny County police say a man has been charged with abuse of a corpse after a missing woman's body was found in a refrigerator inside a McKees Rocks apartment building. Police identified the body as 38-year-old Kristy Jefferson. She was reported missing April 29. Jefferson's body was found in an apartment building along Helen Street around 9:45 a.m. Sunday. Residents in the building told police they smelled a foul odor coming from a refrigerator that was sitting in the hallway.

Transportation services at Blair Senior Services not affected by fire

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — A fire at the Blair Senior Services’ storage facility damaged multiple vehicles over the weekend, but it has not stopped the company’s daily transportation services. Investigators say the fire broke out early Sunday morning in the back of the transportation center where twelve vehicles were parked. The president of Blair Senior Services, Steve Williamson, says the fire damaged ten vans and totaled six of them.
