Police say a Cambria County Wendy’s employee is facing gun- and drug-related charges after an investigation at one of the local restaurants.

According to the Richland Township Police Department, 29-year-old Tyler Peifer, of Holsopple, is facing charges related to receiving stolen property, firearm not to be carried without a license and possessing a small amount of marijuana.

Officers say they responded to the Wendy’s on Scalp Ave. Monday for a follow up investigation.

According to police, officers began speaking with Peifer to positively identify him for another case.

They say they asked Peifer if he had any weapons on him and he responded that he had a gun in his waist band.

Officers removed the gun, which they say was a stolen 9mm Glock 19.

They noted that Peifer did not have a concealed carry permit.

He’s free on unsecured bail, court records indicate, and he has a preliminary hearing set for Jan. 12.
