Family displaced, dog killed after fire destroys Blair Co. mobile home, fire chief says

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) Authorities with the Duncansville Fire Department say a family of four has been displaced following a blaze at a mobile home in Juniata Township late Tuesday morning. 911 officials say crews were called to the home, located along the 100 block of High Drive, just before 11 a.m.

According to Duncansville Fire Chief Mike Gonsman, the mobile home was destroyed and the family lost a dog in the fire.

Officials say the Red Cross has been called in to assist the family and a state police fire marshal is still investigating the cause of the blaze.

Chief Gonsman noted that 8 area departments, from Blair and Cambria counties, were called to the scene.

He adds that crews were on scene for approximately two hours.

No injuries were reported.
