Center for Metal Arts receives $250K grant through local foundation

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) The Center for Metal Arts received a $250,000 grant from the 1889 Foundation, which will be administered by the non-profit organization Pittsburgh Gateways. Pittsburgh Gateways, along with the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority, has now given more than $6 million in grants to the forging school in Johnstown.

The grant will be used to continue to restore and improve the Center for Metal Arts building and help work toward the company’s vision of a metal arts village.
