The Cambria County library is holding a book sale this week.

Books will be available for purchase Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the first-floor community room.

The book sale allows the library to make room for new additions and keep its collection up to date.

Library leaders say the sale also benefits the community.

"For our customers who are coming in and shopping, you can really build your home collection and have a lot of things,” says library Director Ashley Flynn. “Drop it in the pool. These things are yours so you can do whatever you want with them and it's not the same pressure to be returned in good condition."

All books will cost just $1.

The sale includes bestselling hardcovers, paperbacks, biographies, cookbooks, books on crafts and children's books.
