WILMORE BOROUGH – The coroner was called to the scene of a fatal single-vehicle crash along Route 53 Saturday morning.
Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said the pickup truck, a black Ford F-150, was traveling south on Route 53 when the truck crossed the center line and struck a tree head-on.
The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m.
Lees said Jerry Kinback, 59, of Wilmore, was the driver of the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy determine that Kinback suffered a heart attack prior to hitting the tree. Lees said that Kinback was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
